Understanding Vitamin C in Nyrah ProductsUpdated 19 days ago

We know many of our customers have sensitive, hormonal, or easily reactive skin and that Vitamin C can feel confusing or even worrying. You deserve clarity and confidence in what you’re putting on your skin, especially if you’ve reacted to Vitamin C in the past.

Here’s the important part:

At Nyrah, we use Vitamin C very differently from most brands.

What people worry about: “harsh Vitamin C”
Most irritation comes from L-Ascorbic Acid: a strong, low-pH form of Vitamin C that can sting, cause redness, or disrupt a weakened skin barrier.

We want you to know:

👉 Nyrah does NOT use L-Ascorbic Acid in any product.

What we use instead: gentle, naturally-occurring & derivative forms
Our ranges use Vitamin C derivatives and fruit-derived antioxidants: calm, stable, slow-release forms that brighten and support collagen without the irritation.

You’ll find these in our range:

• Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate in INFUSE (gentle, water-based, stable)
• Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate in ABSORB (oil-soluble, slow-release, very skin-friendly)
Natural Vitamin C from papaya & mango fruit extracts in UNDRESS (very gentle, antioxidant-only)

These forms are chosen specifically for sensitive, hormonal or barrier-compromised skin.

What’s in the Trial Pack?
For complete peace of mind:

Very gentle, non-acidic Vitamin C only:
• UNDRESS: plant-based Vitamin C from papaya & mango (no acids, no low pH, no irritation)
• INFUSE: gentle derivative (Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate)
ABSORB: oil-based derivative (Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate)

No Vitamin C:
• DRENCH: hydration only
GLISTEN: peptides + antioxidants

This makes our Trial Pack suitable for most skin types, including those who’ve struggled with traditional Vitamin C products before.

Why the difference matters?
Not all Vitamin C works the same.
Harsh forms can trigger reactions in hormonal or sensitive skin.
Nyrah chooses the versions that work with your skin, not against it.
