What does “science-backed ingredients” mean?Updated 2 months ago
At Nyrah, science-backed means that every key ingredient in our formulas is supported by published cosmetic or dermatological research, and selected specifically for sensitive, hormonal, and maturing skin.
We choose ingredients based on:
proven skin benefits
low irritation risk
long-term skin barrier support
Some examples include:
Niacinamide: supports the skin barrier and helps reduce redness
Multi-weight hyaluronic acid: hydrates at different levels of the skin
Peptides: support firmness, elasticity, and smoothing
Squalane: replenishes protective skin lipids
Ceramides: strengthen a weakened skin barrier
Bakuchiol: a gentle, plant-based alternative to retinol
We also use clinically researched, trademarked ingredients such as PrimalHyal™ 3K, Uplevity™, and Skinmimics®, each supplied with manufacturer-provided safety and efficacy data.
You’ll find these ingredients clearly listed on each product page under Key Ingredients.
Why doesn’t Nyrah share exact ingredient percentages? This is a common question, and it’s a fair one. We don’t publish percentages for three simple reasons:
They’re not required under EU or UK cosmetic regulations
Percentages alone don’t tell the full story
What matters more is:how ingredients are combined
how stable the formula is
how ingredients are delivered into the skin
how gentle the formula is over time
Our formulas are bespoke and proprietary, and percentages form part of our intellectual property
Two products can contain the same ingredient at the same percentage and perform very differently on the skin. That’s why we focus on overall formula performance, not isolated numbers.
How do you know Nyrah products are safe and effective?
Every Nyrah product undergoes full EU/UK cosmetic safety testing and independent toxicology review before it’s ever sold. This confirms that each ingredient is used at safe and appropriate levels, especially for sensitive and reactive skin.
Nyrah products are cosmetic (not medical), and we don’t make pharmaceutical claims. Our focus is on skin health, barrier support, and real-world suitability for changing skin.
